Why choose non-slip slipper socks?
Regular socks are slippery on hard floors, and bulky slippers can be clumsy. Non-slip slipper socks add rubber or silicone grip dots under the sole, so you get the comfort of a sock with more traction. Our best-selling non-slip thermal slipper socks also have a plush sherpa lining and a V-shaped opening that doesn't squeeze the ankle.
What to look for in slipper socks
Grip
Look for grip dots or a textured sole that covers the ball and heel of the foot. That is where you push off and land when you walk.
Warmth
Sherpa, fleece or plush linings add the most warmth. If your feet run cold, choose a lined style over a single-layer knit.
Fit
Slipper socks should be snug enough not to twist on your foot. Ours come in three sizes:
- US women 5-8 (EU 35-39)
- US women 9-11 / men 7-9 (EU 40-42)
- US men 9.5-11.5 (EU 43-45)
See the sock size chart if you are between sizes.
Easy care
Hand wash cool and air dry to protect the grip dots and lining.
Who slipper socks are for
- Anyone with cold feet who doesn't like full slippers.
- Older relatives who want extra traction on smooth floors. (Grip socks help, but always keep floors clear and dry.)
- Travelers: foldable slipper socks are great for hotels and flights.
- Gift shoppers: a practical, cozy present. Our shark slipper socks add humour.
Slipper socks vs house slippers
Slippers have a thicker sole and are better for quick trips outdoors. Slipper socks are lighter, warmer around the ankle, quieter on floors and easier to pack. Many people keep both, with slipper socks for evenings and bedtime.
How to keep feet warm at home
- Layer: wear a thin sock under a lined slipper sock on very cold days.
- Keep ankles covered; a lot of heat escapes there.
- Choose wool-blend or fleece-lined socks for sleeping, like our women's wool socks.

Slipper socks compared
Slipper socks for older adults
Many families buy grip socks for parents and grandparents who walk on smooth floors at home. Look for grip dots across the whole sole, a snug but not tight fit, and an opening that is easy to pull on. Check the grips regularly and replace the socks when they wear smooth. Grip socks support steadier steps, but keep floors clear and dry too.
Slipper socks for travel
Hotel rooms, holiday rentals and long flights can mean cold, unfamiliar floors. Foldable slipper socks pack flat, weigh almost nothing, and give you a clean, warm layer between your feet and the floor. Keep a pair in your carry-on.
Bedtime and cold feet
Cold feet can make it harder to fall asleep. A loose-topped, lined slipper sock warms feet quickly. If you prefer something softer for sleeping, see our fuzzy socks; for very cold nights, wool blends from women's wool socks breathe better.
Sustainable comfort
Slipper socks last longer when you wash them less often and gently. Air them out between wears, spot clean small marks, and hand wash only when needed. Avoid high heat, which hardens grip dots.
Gift ideas
Slipper socks are a practical gift for new homeowners, college students in cold dorms, new moms and anyone recovering at home. Pair them with a blanket or a mug for an easy care package. For festive options see Christmas socks.
How to choose the right size slipper socks
Measure your foot from the back of the heel to the tip of your longest toe while standing. Compare it with the foot lengths we list: about 24 cm for EU 35-39, 26 cm for EU 40-42 and 27 cm for EU 43-45. If you are between sizes and like a snug feel, size down; if you plan to wear a thin sock underneath, size up. A slipper sock that fits well keeps its grip dots under the ball of your foot, where they matter most.
Slipper socks for new moms and recovery
After a hospital stay or during the last weeks of pregnancy, bending to put on slippers can be awkward. Soft slipper socks pull on easily, keep feet warm in bed and on the sofa, and add grip on the walk to the kitchen. They are a thoughtful addition to a hospital bag or a care package.
Slipper socks and pets
Pet owners love slipper socks that can be washed easily. If your home has fur everywhere, choose darker colours like navy, black or gray, shake them out before washing, and hand wash cool so the lining stays soft.
Why our slipper socks are different
We combine warmth and safety: a plush sherpa lining, a V-shaped opening that doesn't squeeze the ankle and anti-slip dots underneath, in sizes from US women's 5 to men's 11.5. Each colour is a variant of one product so you can compare them at a glance.
